Minutes of the meeting of 9-15-2008

A meeting of the Board of Adjustment of Alexandria Township was held on the 15^th Day of September 2008 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 610 Fillmore Street.

ROLL CALL: Members present were Louis Ross, Bryon Alstead, Jim Casper, Joel Dahlheimer, and Roger Thalman. Also present were Clerk Gregg Raisanen. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Clerk Raisanen at 6:30 PM.

Michael Harberts, Cabin Works, INC, was present and requested that the after-the-fact fee assessed him for the permit to complete work at 3618 Island Drive be waived since he had contacted both the county and city who indicated that he did not need a permit prior to construction. He indicated that he obtained a permit within two days of being contacted by Zoning Administrator Oleson; however, the project was mostly completed by that time.

The person Mr. Harberts talked to at the city is relatively new and probably assumed this property was located within the orderly annexation area.

Alstead, seconded by Casper, made a motion to waive the after-the-fact fee assessed to Cabin Works for the permit to complete work at 3618 Island Drive. Motion for: Alstead, Ross, Casper, Dahlheimer, Thalman. Motion against: None. Motion carried.

Alstead, seconded by Ross, made a motion to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:38 PM.
