Notice of Intent to Enact an Ordinance

Notice is hereby given that the Alexandria Township Planning Commission shall conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Township conference room at 610 Fillmore Street, Alexandria, MN. At this time, the Planning Commission will consider the adoption of amendments to the Interim Zoning and Subdivision ordinances. The proposed amendments are to revise the existing zoning map and ordinance by expanding the boundaries of the “Urban Residential” district, creating a low-density “Rural Conservation Residential” district, and revising the boundaries and allowed density in the “Rural Residential” district. Other related amendments are proposed to implement these changes.

Copies of the proposed ordinances may be seen at the Alexandria Township Office, PO Box 445, Alexandria, MN. All interested persons are invited to attend said hearings or submit written testimony prior to the hearing date.
