Minutes of the meeting of August 14, 2006

A special public meeting of the Planning Commission of Alexandria Township was held on the 14^th day of August, 2006 at the Alexandria Township Conference Room, 610 Fillmore Street.

ROLL CALL: Commission members present were John Knowles, Julie Feuling, Russ Niskanen, Larry Steidl and Lyle Hammerschmidt. Also present was Bonnie Fulghum, Deputy Clerk. As said members formed a quorum and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Knowles at 7:00 p.m.

Steidl, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.

Feuling, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to approve the minutes of the 07/24/06 meeting as written. Motion carried unanimously.

Ben Oleson, Zoning Administrator, entertained discussion on the zoning and subdivision ordinances. The commission members requested a few changes be made throughout the ordinances before forwarding to the town board.

Niskanen, seconded by Feuling, made a motion to recommend approval of the zoning and subdivision ordinances as corrected and forwarding them to the town board. Roll Call: Hammerschmidt – yes, Feuling – yes, Steidl – yes, Knowles – yes, Niskanen – yes. Motion carried unanimously.

It was agreed amongst the commission members that Ben Oleson would forward copies of the ordinances to the county attorney and Land and Resource offices for their review and comments.

Being no further business, Steidl, seconded by Niskanen, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8:22 p.m.
